We seek an enthusiastic senior hands-on Power Profiling Engineer in the Bay Area. In this role, you will:

  • Profiling end-to-end use cases, capturing use case data flow, and analyzing performance, power, and thermal-based on profiling logs.
  • Build use case power/performance profiling scripts and make it easy to analyze.
  • Power and performance characterization of benchmarks and key algos on the targeted platform.
  • Decompose the end-to-end use cases to understand the system constraints.
  • Dig into actual use case characteristics and find optimization opportunities.

DELIVERABLES

  • Profiling and analyzing scripts.
  • Benchmark and use case power and performance results.
  • Use case power and performance deep dive analysis, system data flow, and optimization exploration results.

Grundläggande kvalifikationer

  • 10+ years of embedded programming and scripting with Python, bash, C/C++
  • Proficiency in using performance analysis tools such as Perfeto, ftrace, CPU profiler, and GPU Profiler.
  • Proven experience in performance analysis and optimization with a complex system.
  • Good understanding of embedded device internals in both software and hardware, including memory management, bandwidth, and latency analysis, scheduler, DVFS governor, power analysis, and thermal management.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Vi erbjuder

The annual salary range for this role is $80,000 – $250,000 per year.

The Annual Salary depends upon various job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs, and market demand. This range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
